History

Stand-up personal watercraft came onto the US market in 1972, when Japanese machinery titan Kawasaki turned their focus from motorcycles to aquatic powersports. The company implemented the inventor of the PWC—Clayton Jacobson II’s—design by fashioning a personal watercraft with a two-stroke engine and flat hull. PWC became incredibly popular over the next few decades, and their designs continually improved to be sleeker, faster and more adept in the water.
 

Features

For fans of the original stand-up PWC experience, the SX-R models upgrade it with a four-stroke engine for maximum power and speed out on the water. The highly responsive controls put you in control of where you want to go and how fast you’re getting there. The V-shaped hull cuts through water easily and is lightweight to increase agility.

If you’re more interested in a sit-down style personal watercraft, try the Jet Ski Ultra 310R model, which can accommodate up to three riders including the operator. The four-stroke engine is intercooled to provide better performance and you can switch up how you ride with the adjustable handlebars. There’s even a Smart Learning Operation mode that lowers the engine speed to help new riders get acclimated to their PWC.
